At JB Plumbing Services, we’ve always believed that doing good work and doing good in the community go hand in hand. Today, we’re happy to share something we’ve been quietly building behind the scenes, a charity initiative called Copper for Kindness.
Here’s the Idea
Every copper repipe and water heater installation we complete leaves behind scrap metal. For most contractors, that material just disappears. For us, it’s an opportunity.
We collect that scrap, recycle it, and set aside every dollar earned throughout the year. Then, when Thanksgiving rolls around, we put that money to work, purchasing turkeys for Miracle Hill Ministries to donate to families in need across Upstate South Carolina.
Old pipes. New hope. It really is that simple.
Why It Matters to Us
Upstate South Carolina is our home. The families who call us when a pipe bursts or a water heater gives out are our neighbors. Copper for Kindness is our means of saying thank you, not just with good plumbing, but with something a little more meaningful.
We wanted to build a program that was sustainable, tangible, and rooted in the work we already do every day. And truthfully? Turning job-site scraps into Thanksgiving meals seemed like a perfect fit.
You’re Part of It Too
When you hire JB Plumbing Services for a repipe or water heater installation, you’re not merely investing in your home, you’re helping put food on someone else’s table. Every job contributes. Every pound of scrap counts. So schedule your water heater replacement or home repiping today!
